Susannah Kelly is a third generation artist raised in New York City. She graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Cooper Union School of Art followed by a career and a freelance illustrator for several advertising and publishing companies.
Since 1999 Susannah has worked as an art instructor for the Short Center South in Sacramento, CA, a non- profit program for developmentally disabled adults. Working with this population has changed the way she views art. “These individuals have no idea what is appropriate or conventional in art. It makes their work refreshing and has inspired me to be more courageous in my choice of themes and colors”, she says.
