Supergenerous

This unusual combination of players is an instant relief from the norm. With Brazilian percussionist Cyro Baptista, Canadian guitarist Kevin Breit, Supergenerous combines the sounds of jazz with folk traditions from Latin South & North American nuances.
The gumbo soup of rhythms and a variety of percussive instruments takes the audience on a journey to countries far and near. They mix maritime, samba, country styles that includes the treasure trove of percussion surdo, Balinese gongs, symphonic bass drums, cymbals and many other fun international toys.
Cowbells, metal refrigerator drawers, snare drums also add to the mix. Blue Note in the fall of 2000 released a CD by “Supergenerous”. Enjoy their antics at the Mondavi this Spring!
