While in school his work ranged from from convetional pieces to painting and creating local window displays, decoratng the mascot for his high school as well as the small community hospital.
His talent, quickly recognized by his teachers, placed him in honors art classes, and at 15 had him accepted in the California Summer School for the Arts (CSSSA) held in each year at CalArts in southern California.
That environment of structured art instruction which directed him to the style and media that revolutionized his artistic skill.

On leaving high school Saul was fortunate to be mentored by Robert Braun, a local artist in Hanford, California. Mr. Braun has been an incredible influence on Sauls artistic eye.
Moreover under his guidance Saul entered the world of commercial art, showing and selling many pieces at Artisans in Hanford.
This nothwithstanding, he has continued to devote time to public works of art including a mural in historic of downtown Hanford entitled Bounty of Kings as well as donating works to Valley Public Television and executiing a poster Fresnos Art Hop 2005.
The latter was the featured poster for the event. More recently he has displayed Arts Visalia in Visalia, CA ; Artisans Custom Framing and Fine Art Gallery in Hanford, CA.
In 2008, he studied graphic design at the Art Institute of California (Hollywood). There he had the precise and meticulous methods of graphic design, and has more recently become excited about the possibilities inherent in combining its techniques with traditional methods of fine art.
Presently, majority of his work is meticulously designed on digital editing programs such as illustrator and photoshop, and later produced in traditional methods.
He is currently working on his line called moderno. He is attending College of the Seqouias and is studying to receive his degree in both art and graphic design. His goal is to share the knowledge and continue on to a higher education.
