Daniel Mendoza

Daniel Mendoza is an artist based out of the Sacramento area.
MENDOMAS is a group of artist Daniel put together with his close friend Mike Thomas. They work closely on collaboration ideas as well as their own individual collections.
They do their best to bring Art to Sacramento, its  surrounding communities and beyond. They also just finished up a group show at the City of Roseville’s downtown Library and have a couple other shows both as a group and himself individually this year.
Starting in the late nineties Daniel and Mike found themselves in a mélange of  musical creation. Mike constantly creating visual art, and  Daniel working intensely on his writing.
After a brief hiatus,  to gain individual grounding and focus, Daniel and Mike found  themselves teaming up again to form a perpetual entity of  creation. Their individual collections are a grand addition to the world of fine art and their collaborations an innovative expansion on its ideology.
Currently both are expanding their  own collections as well as collaboration, constantly pushing each other to new dimensions.
Daniel has worked and studied for two decades trying to create, in one way or another, some form of art. At an early age music became the first  of these art forms, and soon  he found a passion for writing poetry, both moving him into the world of painting.
Mixing various mediums to achieve versatility, he believes  he has found an art form in which he feels in tune  with  raw creativity.
By mixing mediums and techniques, he’s finding that  it is possible for him to create something refreshing as well as paying homage to influences with unique textures.
Drawing inspiration from his travels, his Mexican heritage, renowned and regional artists, and everyday humanity, he is able to create pieces with depth and emotion.
