Country Crossroads Quilters “A Celebration of Fiber Arts”

Country Crossroad Quilters originated in 1983 and meets twice a month to hear guest speakers, view quilts and learn quiltmaking techniques. Their goal is to educate the public about the history of quilting as an indigenous American form of expression. CCQ has produced
over 100 quilts each year for  donation to local charitable organizations.
Country Crossroads Quilters and Central California Art Association present “A Celebration of Fiber Arts Exhibit” from March 20 to April 25 at the Mistlin Gallery. The CCQ members will exhibit a series of photo-realistic quilts depicting selected doorways of residences and landmarks in the Graceada Park and College Area of Modesto.
Some of the artists represented in the 2012 show at Mistlin Gallery are Sue Siefkin, Teresa Seifert and Joyce Compton.The Third Thursday Art Walk is April 19 from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Mistlin Gallery, 1015 J Street, Modesto, 529-3369. Mistlin Gallery opens Tuesday – Friday, 11:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Saturday 12:00 to 4:00 p.m.
