Association Experience

The Group was formed after Joe Sanchez jammed with Todd Minner at a mutual friend’s House.
It was there that Todd invited Joe to play with his band, Paco’s Blues. Joe had many previous professional guitar playing jobs in the world of Latino Rock, R & B, and Jazz.
Todd was a Blues Harmonica and rhythm guitar player side kick for different Bands in the Sacramento Area.
The two of them have had a cast of people around them but have stayed together as partners.
They hung together since their other Bands were suffering from BSD or commonly known as Band Self Destruction, a disease most bands suffer when only one member of a band wants to decide everything.  At first Todd and Joe did all the singing but later they added some more talent.
Joey Christ became one of their vocalists and or permanent back up for the songs they were already singing. Joey retired briefly and so Jon Quipot, who was the lead singer for Todd’s Band Paco’s blues moved back in the area. As a trained Vocalist, Jon has much to offer.
Their friend, Danya Coats at times sings back up for them. Their 3rd drummer is Brent (Formally with Rumpshaker). Eric is their 3rd Bass Player and he brings some new young energy with his presence.
George Jeviky *The Fossil” has much live music experience and plays keys for them. Their music backgrounds are varied, but it makes for what they are and what they sound like. “Unique”. The Band is now up to 6-7 members. They can do with less for smaller venues. They can do venues with 4-5 of them. They tend to do music that you can dance to.  At times they do songs in which you will think you’re at a concert.
Joe Sanchez can WOW! you on guitar. Although he is not Carlos Santana, at times, he can be really great! Todd soloing on Blues Harp, or guitar, soloing on Percussion or Drums and now Brent doing his Buzz Saw drumming act. All the while Joey or Jon is singing or dancing in and with the Audience.
They are always trying to learn something to better the band but they subscribe to the KISS method of music. Keep It Simple Stupid and have fun.
They play regularly at the MVP Sports Grill on 17th and Capital. (2 times a month)  Moon Light Inn in Freeport.  Loomis Car show, The Brick House, Wedding Receptions, Anniversaries, Corporate outings, Pool Parties, Spare Time Club events, Grand Openings, Winery events, Cafe Refugio, Pinky’s, Corigan’s grill, Moose Lodge events and the famous Sawyers Bar Annual community in memory of Woodstock Concert.  They are a clean band and their motto is: “We play like your Mother is in the Audience.”
They tend to like earlier venues. Afternoons and Early evenings because they are family men and women who work for a living. They will go late occasionally on Friday nights and sometimes on a Saturday.
They have all their own equipment. If you hire them, they have the PA system that comes with them. Nice to have at events, weddings, and such to make speeches and announcements. You want to sing a song with them? Well, you’re paying them so they’ll set a mic up for you too. Bring your guitar or other instrument and they will set you up to do a lead or two with the band.
One of their favorite moments was at a retired police Captain’s pool party. They had three 300+ lbs Motor cycle officers being the Pips for them during the song, “Just my imagination.” After the song they pushed each other in the pool. It was beautiful. When they got out there was only an inch of water left in the pool!
