Cathy Bianchi was born in Portland, Maine where she lived until age 6. She then moved to Southern California with her family where she eventually married and had 2 children. Some of Cathy’s earliest creative endeavors surfaced after graduating from Beauty College.

Mary was born and reared on Long Beach, California. In 1967 she moved to Berkeley and worked for a while before returning to college to earn a teaching credential there. She moved to the East Bay and taught special education and regular education for twenty years, while raising her family.
